CARE INSTRUCTIONS

How do I take care of this wooly rug?

Our wool rugs are made for relaxation and for life. They are soft, fuzzy, and have a 1” pile to them. Because of this and their natural wool fibre, they like to shed when they are first made. You will notice that little fluff balls may form when you walk on it. This goes away over time as you begin to show the rug some love by walking on it and vacuuming it as needed. Another great tip is to brush the rug with a plastic hand brush or broom- this will help eliminate some of the extra wool that has come loose. This is completely normal!
How do I clean a spill?
Because your rug’s main fibre is wool, it can be washed like a wool sweater:
Use cold water and gentle soap to spot clean (you’ll notice the rug becomes flatter when it’s wet, but don’t worry- it will fluff back up once it’s dried, or with a vacuum. If you have the space, use a garden hose to wash it down! Try to dab instead of rub.
Lay flat or hang to air dry, preferably in the sun.
You can also take it to a professional rug cleaner for a more thorough clean.
We recommend using a rug pad underneath your rug to stabilize it on your floor.
